Is this legal?

Am I allowed to take pictures and record video?

Yes, take as many pictures as you like. Record video. Ask your range officer to take pictures of you, holding the guns inside the shooting range. Share your pictures and video on social media; you will get a lot of great comments. Just don’t forget to tag The Vegas Machine Gun Experience at Discount Firearms and Ammo.

What if I've never shot a gun before?

No experience is required to have a great time! The majority of our guests are first time shooters, and our expert range officers will be present to instruct you every step of the way to ensure you will be able to safely handle and operate any firearms you would like to shoot at our range. We welcome new shooters and love to show the world how great shooting in a safe and controlled environment can be!

What if I'm afraid of guns?

People who have had limited exposure to firearms may feel this way. It’s perfectly normal to be startled by the loud report of a firearm, or feel scared because you don’t know how it operates. But our expert range officers pride themselves on making the experience as fun and comfortable for you as possible, helping you realize the thrill of getting over your fears and shooting a firearm! There is truly nothing like it! For those of you who may be nervous to try it, here is how we will help you conquer your fears: First, we will pair you with the right firearm(s) for you, based on your physical stature and abilities, plus taking into consideration the type of gun(s) you are looking to shoot. Second, we equip you with safety glasses and ear protection, and assign you to a range officer who will be with you every step of the way. Third, that range officer will teach you about the gun; the name, the history, the mechanics of exactly how it works, etc. Third, we will teach you how to shoot the gun; how to stand, how to hold it, how to aim it, and when to pull the trigger. By the time you have chosen a firearm, get out on the range, become educated on the firearm itself, and trained how to shoot, you will be itching to shoot it! It’s a natural high like no other! We hope you will give it a try!

Is there a surcharge if I'm just observing?

No, there is no additional fee if you are just an observer in your party. This is definitely a very group oriented experience, so we encourage participation at every level. You must, however, fill out a range safety waiver in order to enter the range portion of the facility.

Is there a dress-code?

While there is no specific dress-code for the range, we do have the following recommendations for our guests.

We recommend a sweater or light jacket during winter months. Though you will be indoors, the rapid replacement of fresh air lowers the temperature inside our shooting range during cold-weather months.

We recommend closed-toe shoes and tops with higher necklines. Automatic and semi-automatic firearms eject spent shell casings into the air. These empty casings are hot to the touch and frequently find their way down low-cut blouses and land on feet and toes not protected by footwear.

How do I redeem my online purchase?

Save and print your receipt. Bring your picture identification, the card you used to make the online purchase, and a hard copy or electronic version of your receipt to Discount Firearms and Ammo to claim any Vegas Machine Gun Experience purchases.

Are there any age restrictions?

Participants 21 and older may operate all firearms at The Vegas Machine Gun Experience.

Participants 18-20 may operate machine guns, sub-machine guns, rifles and shotguns. Current law prohibits us from renting a handgun to anyone under 21 years of age without a supervising parent or guardian present.

Participants 14-17 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian, who remains responsible for the minor’s actions and safety, while at our facility. 14-17 year-old minors may operate machine guns, sub-machine guns, rifles, and handguns. Range safety officers exercise final discretion to determine what firearms a minor is permitted to operate.

Children under the age of 8 are not permitted in the shooting area; they must remain supervised in the retail areas of our facility.
